Newport Children’s School in Bellevue Offers A Fun & Rewarding Education

Our private school program promotes a developing knowledge of scientific concepts (reflect and ask, plan and predict, act and observe, report and reflect) through real experiences such as playing in the mud, examining rocks and leaves, noticing the different sizes of shadows, sorting buttons or shapes and by recognizing similarities and differences in objects.

Our hands-on, science-based curriculum gives children a boost toward educational excellence while fostering curiosity, independence, self-reliance, and emotional maturity.

Our Program Hours

Our school is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7am – 6pm. We offer several program options for you to choose from: before school extended care, curriculum hours, and after school extended care. We also offer extended care during many school vacations as well as a summer camp. You can choose to bring your child 2, 3, or 5 days a week anytime from 7am to 6pm - It’s totally up to you!

Kindergarten Prep Eligibility

Our Kindergarten Prep program is for children eligible for kindergarten the following school year.

Our pre-kindergarten curriculum is designed to equip children with the essential skills for kindergarten and beyond. It includes reading and pre-reading activities, discussions, and classroom activities that foster scientific inquiry, along with a continued focus on developing mathematical understanding.

Newport's Second Step Program Based Curriculum

We use the Committee for Children’s Pre-K Second Step program, which teaches skills in empathy, emotion management, impulse control, emotion regulation, anger management, and social problem-solving.

Keeping Class Sizes Small & Manageable

Classrooms are set up with learning centers, in which the students have access to art, sensory, manipulative and play-based activities throughout the day (no rotating to special spaces in the school to access these activities like some schools offer).

Healthy Meals: 3 Snacks & 1 Lunch

At Newport Schools, we prioritize the holistic development of your child by providing nourishing meals that support their physical, social, and academic well-being. Our dedicated team offers nutritious options that save you time and instill healthy eating habits from an early age. We serve organic fruits and vegetables and have vegetarian options available.
